Who We Are
Nancy Cavaliere, PT, MS, DPT, C/NDT
Nancy Cavaliere has been working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist since graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1980 with a degree in Physical Therapy. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Developmental Disabilities from Long Island University, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. Dr. Cavaliere completed her basic Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) course in 1983 and has been NDTA baby certified since 1992. In addition, she also has expertise and advanced training in the areas of gait training and orthotics, as well as positioning, seating and wheelchair design. More recently Nancy has been trained and certified to include Interactive Metronome, Timocco and Brain HQ as an adjunct to her treatment sessions.
Cheryl Weber, OTR/L, C/NT
Cheryl Weber has been an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years, providing a continuum of services to the pediatric patient including autism, neurologically impaired, developmentally delayed, orthopedically involved and those with sensory processing concerns. Aside from her private practice she has been part of an interdisciplinary team in the public school setting from pre-school through the high school level and post grad years. Cheryl strives to blend knowledge of the latest research and the child’s abilities into realistic solutions that fit the family’s lifestyle.
Patricia Joy, CCC/SLP, C/NDT
A speech/language pathologist for more than 30 years, 8 of those with the State of Connecticut, Patricia Joy provides direct oral-motor and oral-feeding treatment to infants and toddlers as well as speech and language development therapy to young children. She is Neuro-Developmental Treatment Certified and has lectured for the NDT organization as well as for New York University. Her protocols for facilitating transition from tubed feedings to oral feedings are based on the principles and practices of NDT. Speech, language and communication therapy is also provided during sessions and Pat is trained in P.R.O.M.P.T.. Her active private practice is located in Stamford, Connecticut and she also delivers consultations for school based programs throughout Connecticut. Pat is married with one daughter.
Pediatric Therapy Services is a collaborative of a physical and occupational therapist and speech/language pathologist who are dedicated to providing the best possible treatment for children with special needs. Our approach is family centered to enable children to reach their full potential.
We serve special needs children and young adults throughout Southwestern Connecticut. We are fully licensed for practice in Connecticut and are NDTA and Baby trained and certified. Each of us has advanced degrees and/or training in our respective fields, and has been practicing for more than 30 years.
